When you hire ParcelCompare, Fastlane or ParcelHero, which are the same company, to deliver your parcel abroad, the delivery service will be carried out by one of the partners, in my situation DHL, to deliver a present in Brazil.
The problem is, regardless what the content is, the partner, just to take the parcel out of their hands, will automatically stamp 'tax to pay' in it and pass it to customs, so any delay will be blamed on them. Customs will try to get the tax from the recipient, even if it is a present. When the person refuses to pay taxes, the parcel will either be disposed/destroyed or returned to the origin, if you paid a higher premium for it to be returned.
DHL, in my situation, didn't charge to return the package to South Africa, twice, as they guaranteed to me and to the recipient in Brazil, but when the package returned to South Africa Parcelcomapre, FastLane, Parcelhero charged me more to deliver the package from their depot in South Africa than what I paid to have it delivered in Brazil.
When something like this happens in this Company you then realize that it doesn't matter how many times you beg they will not pass you to a manager, will not give you a telephone number to contact the manager, will not pass your telephone number to a manager and will a few times even ignore your request.
If you tell them that £35 to return your package from South Africa to South Africa is a bit too much they will give you two options, "Either you pay, Sir or tell us to dispose it" If you ask them why they are charging that monstrous amount they will say that DHL have charged them to return the package to South Africa, which according to DHL in Brazil it was not true.
When someone finally decides to pass you to a higher authority to complain they tell you that you will have to write a LETTER to a PO BOX and wait for a few days for a reply, which then can be in any way they decide to. In my situation, although I requested a phone call nobody ever called me.
You can then try to contact Dan McGeoghan, who is the Director Of Operations at Parcelhero.com Limited, Parcelcompare & Deliver Plus Limited, but he will just ignore your email.
You can then Google for their CEO and try to find a way to contact them and it will take you nowhere.
In summary, this is a company to keep as far as possible.
Eventually, they replied to my two pages letter to their PO BOX and again lied to me saying that DHL in Brazil charged them to return the package, but nobody sent me any proof of it and DHL Brazil denied to have charged any of their companies.
This was the second time I sent the same package to Brazil using their company and in February this year they charged me around £13 to return the SAME package from their depot in Haverhill, but suddenly this time they decided that we had too much inflation or something like this and charged me £35. Both times DHL guaranteed that they haven't charged to return the package.
This company is very disappointing, especially if you have any problem with your parcel and need to talk with one of their managers over the phone, because after you gave them your money, any problems with the parcel is your problem.
Eventually, they decided to give me £15 credit as a gesture of goodwill, which will be added to my ParcelCompare account, which means they gave me nothing, as I am not interested in sending another parcel to Brazil using any of their companies.
