Football fever has swept across the nation, and it’s hardly surprising considering the last time England were in this position was in 1990. You hear about it, you read about it, you’re walking around with Three Lions playing on repeat in your head, and before you know it you’re digging around in your wardrobe looking for your England shirt only to find out it’s too small/stained/inthecharityshopbecauseyouneverbloodywearitDarren. Great. What are you supposed to wear to the pub now? How will you show your support for your nation when in fact you have 0 lions on your chest? So what if you might spend the majority of the match taking it off and swinging it around your head, the important thing is that you’re representing your country.
Classic Football Shirts
This is where Classic Football Shirts comes in. Classic Football Shirts was made by and made for football lovers. In 2006, the then Manchester University student Doug was looking for an original Germany ‘90 shirt, only to be met by disappointment. At the time, Doug had been selling vintage shirts on Ebay, and with no plans after graduation, Doug and his friend Matt put two and two together and decided to build a small collection of football shirts with plans to launch a professional website in the summer - if they had managed to fill a gap in the market. They bought more and more shirts, built the website, got ad space in footballs magazines and went from 200 shirts in August 2006, to over 30,000 items available today.
Finding the right shirt for you
Classic Football Shirts have a wide variety of shirts in terms of size, colour and date. Customers can choose from home shirts, clubs, clearance shirts, and if you’re feeling extra fancy, you can opt for a match worn shirt (but maybe don’t do this if you’re planning on throwing your pints around). England shirts feature vintage and retro shirts, home and away shirts and player editions from the 1970s to present day. If you’re planning on going all out, the range also includes a special edition shirt and shorts combos, socks and jackets. As well as this, if you happen to have a shirt in mind but you can’t find it, you can send Classic Football Shirts a request and they will try their best to get it for you.
Good luck, and remember - IT’S COMING HOME
